Biography

Vex first meets Ryu after helping the younger man when he collapses due to his illness. He claims to be the first cousin to Ryu's old friend-turned-foe, Bosch, but tries to distance himself from his "elitist" cousin. He doesn't talk much about his past, but there are hints that he has regrets about something.

Spoilers

In reality, "Vex" is indeed Bosch himself, but from another timeline where he succeeded in killing Ryu. He has spent the last few years of his life regretting his decisions, wishing that he would have found a better way to resolve his conflicts. The dragon Chetyre still has a hold on him, and he is worried about losing control of his power. Eventually, he is freed from Chetyre's control thanks to Ryu. He spends the rest of his life as a co-instructor in Ryu's sword class…and as a husband to Lin.

Personality

Vex is a humble man who tries to distance himself from his rich family. He dislikes people who flaunt their status, and wishes that rich people helped the poor more often. He likes to joke around, and is generally friendly. In battle, he is a force to be reckoned with, destroying anyone or anything that threatens his allies.

• Twin Wake: Combines the effects of Snakebite and Lion Smash in one swift movement.
