Biography
Jayce is the oldest of three from the Nathaniel Brigham family. Great expectations were placed on his shoulders which he could not fulfill. Considered to be the family embarrassment, his father publicly disowned him at the Academy of the Arts. This led him to be apprenticed to an old retired Grand Master Mage named Jerald Trovia which led him to a simple but good life of learning and patience.
Personality
Jayce is an insecure person when it comes to magic in general. He understands the concepts and the technique but for some reason, he always flubs it up in some way. Usually with drastic and insane results. He's very quiet and enjoys being at home instead of being dragged out into the night to find some interesting tale at a tavern or worse: forced to go to a formal function. He's a shy individual but very kind and somewhat generous. The only stubborn streak you will see in him is when it comes to someone's health. He will chase, tackle and force feed medicine to stubborn patients if he felt it would help them feel better.
Skills and Abilities
- Connection to Magic: Jayce can connect to what his world considers the weave of magic. His connection is a bit floozy at times but he can usually get the end result he originally wanted.
- Brew Potion: He has an uncanny ability in making potions. If a specific herb is unavailable he instantly knows which herb can replace the missing ingredient.
- Dream Seer: He is able to speak with the living and the dead in dreams along with seeing current events under symbolism. It is a possibility that he could see the future but it has not happened as of yet.
Special Items
- Medical Kit: Jayce never leaves home without several potions and antidotes. His kit includes herbs to be mixed if necessary along with a small surgeon kit and previously boiled water.
- Umbrella: Not only can it help keep him dry, he can cast spells better when he holds this item in his hands. It acts like a wand or staff.
